Different Landing Page for different users in an App

The way to set your landing page in an app is to edit the navigation menu 'default'. So which ever user who have access to this app see the landing page based on this.

But if i want to set different landing page for different users in the same app, then is there an option to create a secondary nav menu and set the permissions for specific users ? or a different solution ?

i was not able to find a solution, as nowhere it is mentioned about creating a secondary navigation menu (only default nav is possible in an application).

So my solution to this was to clone the dashboards to a new application, modify the default nav as per the new requirement and give permissions for the new user to the newly created application.

But please do let me know if it is really possible to have 2 users in the same application access different nav menus, as the above does not seems to be a proper solution.
