Reporting

Upgraded from Splunk 6.3.1 to 6.5, why does the scheduled report not work?

After we updated Splunk from 6.3.1 to 6.5, the scheduled report doesn't work and we're unable to display an embedded report. We checked the logs and we found error message:

12/1/16 10:26:07.095 AM  2016-12-01 10:26:07,095 +0800 ERROR    sendemail:1255 - 'module' object has no attribute 'which_pdf_service'

host = cn0-splunk-p06

source = /opt/splunk/var/log/splunk/python.log

sourcetype = splunk_python

Please help to solve.

Have you made any customization to sendemail.py in the app you are in or in the search app? You can try this....Stop Splunk, Copy the sendmail.py from the default "Search" app and paste it to the app you are facing this issue with and then start it & see if that fixes it.

We didn't change sendemail.py and also we use default "Search" app to send PDF file.
