Exporting Search reports to html

I am trying out evaluation version of Splunk and would like to produce a html export ( as per the suggestion in the manual ) but the option does not seem to be available to me. Any Ideas?

D'oh. It looks like that is just a mistake in the user manual. ( http://www.splunk.com/base/Documentation/latest/User/SavingSearchesandSharingSearchResults#Save_the_... )

but Splunk does not have a facility to export events or results to HTML.

You can export to csv, text, xml and json. And if you're handy with either a good shell or a good text-editor, you can probably bend the XML output to your will pretty quickly.

Hi sideview, can you please suggest on how to export the list of alert rules set and reports configured to csv or json or xml ? Thank you
