How do you use Splunk Synthetic APIs to handle black out periods / maintenance ?

Hi,

During maintenance or out of business hours or operating hours, you may want to stop or pause the checks running on this application as it's pointless to test their availability during these periods, it consume checks/ressources, and it impacts the alerting and reportings.

Doing via API this way might also make it easier and faster than from the synthetic advanced set up interface.

Would you share your experience on this and the Pros/Cons you've seen ?

tx!
