Hello hello!  We are happy to share the newest updates in Splunk Cloud Platform 8.2.2203!

Analysts can benefit from 

  • Dashboard Studio Enhancements
    • Color visualizations dynamically by matching string values 
    • Use a new cluster map with marker and bubble layers
    • Set tokens from search results or search metadata
    • Link to other dashboards and pass tokens
    • Set Studio dashboards as their home page
  • Expanded Federated Search capabilities
    • Search from cloud to on-premise environments
    • Expanded commands in standard mode
    • Enriched insights with ability to run federated searches on data models and DMA’s using the TSTATS command 

Admins can benefit from

  • Unlocked admin insights, individualized regional configuration, greater mobile customization, and easier registration and management of connected devices in Splunk Secure Gateway 
  • Enhanced visibility of the knowledge object lifecycle through clear and detailed audit logs  
  • Simplified jQuery upgrading using a Server Settings feature to restrict vulnerable jQuery libraries
  • Streamlined app installation and upgrades (for those on Victoria Experience)
  • Improved security with the ability to restrict webhooks for alert actions to only specific domains or IP addresses
