The system is trying to run too many searches at once.  There are a few things you can do about it.

  1. Disable or delete scheduled searches that are not needed.
  2. Run scheduled searches only as frequently as necessary.
  3. Make scheduled searches run a quickly as possible so they don't block other searches from running.
  4. Use schedule_window=auto for all scheduled searches.
  5. Adjust the schedule for each search to use all 60 minutes of each hour so there are fewer searches trying to run at once.  Use the dashboard at https://github.com/dpaper-splunk/public/blob/master/dashboards/extended_search_reporting.xml to see when you have more searches running.
