If I uninstall splunk, will my indexed data stay in its folder, or will the uninstall remove it? My upgrade got corrupted and the splunk installer "repair" feature can't fix it. I have to uninstall splunk and reinstall.
Since it's possible to move an index, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to move your index to a temporary place prior to uninstalling splunk. In case the reinstall deletes your indexes, you can then move them back into your new install.
