REST API is not shown in Data Inputs

I am really trying to follow this link (below) for getting a twitter feed into Splunk:

I don't see REST under data inputs. I have a basic brand new install. no extra modules loaded.

Any push off a cliff is appreciated.

Did you follow Step 6 in that article? Theres an app you need to install on Splunk to enable REST inputs
