How to configure the ulimit for an indexer?

I want to increase the ulimit of the server.

Hi,

I got the same problem, but it was a Splunk FW installed on AIX 7.1.
It started and then immediately crashed (generating a CRASH- specific log).

I just followed te step-by-step procedure well described here: https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.4.3/Troubleshooting/ulimitErrors
