We developed an Splunk app which uses a modular input going out to the internet to collect data. We have to go through our internal proxy to get to the internet and everything has set up accordingly, like HTTPS_PROXY and HTTP_PROXY in splunk-lauch.conf as suggested in https://answers.splunk.com/answers/2670/set-a-proxy-variable-for-splunk-to-get-out-to-the-internet.h...

But it still is not able to make it to the internet. Please help.

Modular input/scripted input needs to implement its own proxy setting - HTTP_PROXY will not work for the case.
Below has sample codes for your reference;

Hope it helps.
