When will the new Splunk Answers stop treating the underscore ("_") character as one that italicizes trailing text?

Answers that have search strings or other text containing the underscore character don't display the underscore.  Instead, they start italicizing text until they see another underscore.  This is going to cause a lot of confusion.

Maybe underscores are displayed on  new messages, but not old ones like this one:

You are correct. The migration of messages from the old system to the new one italicized text between underscores.

Is it going to be addressed, or will it always be that way?

New posts don't have the problem. Old posts are not being actively addressed.

Then "old" posts should have a disclaimer on them.  People are going to cut/paste or re-type what they see and the missing underscores are going to cause more problems.  Better would be to fix the old posts so that they display correctly.
