I have gone through splunk docs it is like a puzzle for me to know about deployment.
Can anyone give me perfect answer instead of posting links
as everyone has stated above, we'd need to know what type of deployment you're actually referring to, as you question is vague.
Generally speaking, deployment includes numerous connected processes that make the software work properly.
Generally speaking, deployment includes numerous connected processes that make the software work properly.
Exactly this is my question, can you explain me those steps please.
Give us a clear question and we can give you a clear answer. What exactly are you seeking?
You're splunk superstar.
Explain me in your style, I don't have any idea on deployment.
Thanks
splunk beginner.
by "deployment" you mean, the full splunk deployment(architecture) or deployment server's app deployment process, please clarify.
I dont have any idea sorry about it.
I don't even know how many types of deployments are their,
Kindly, patiently, give me answer that suit to a beginner,
Explain me how deployment works and what it is.
What are you looking for exactly? There are multiple deployment scenarios...
1) Single Instance (All In One. ) - One box does it all.. parsing, searching, indexing, license, deployment server...
2) Distributed Environment - 1+ indexers, 1+ search head, sometimes clustered, sometimes not, license master role, deployment server role, sometimes Search Head Clustering + deployer..
Now if youre talking about deploying Splunk, it looks like the above but depends on your environment...
Elaborate more on what exactly you're wanting to know, and we should be able to get a good answer to you!
Thank you very much for taking your time.
Can you explain me how syslogs get into an environment through splunk.
