All,
Setting up Splunk on Redhat 7.2 today which does not use iptables. I have Splunk running on port 8000 with https as "splunk". Just curious if anyone has had to map port 443 to 8000 before using firewalld? Is there a way to NAT this?
Hi daniel333,
This is not really related to Splunk; more a RedHat problem 😉 But since we're here to help find some details below...
Check the last post in the RedHat question/answers post https://access.redhat.com/discussions/1357803 which provides an example. Further check the RedHat doc https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/Security_Guide/sec-Usi... to learn more about the commands used with firewalld
Hope this helps ...
cheers, MuS
