Monitor Linux hosts CPUI/RAM/network/etc

Hi,

I've seen a lot of answers that show how to monitor Windows hosts. All of my servers are Linux based and I would like to have basic statistics captured from them.

We use Zabbix so I don't need real-time or extremely detailed statistics, just regular snapshots will do. This will help me to link up Splunk events to resource usage states without having to eyeball it on Zabbix and manually enter time frames into my search.

How can I set up my Linux forwarders to regularly send a snapshot of the host resource usage to my Splunk Cloud instance?
