High CPU Utilization: monitoring of perfmon logs, Windows Server 2008

Good Day,

Would like to post a question, is it normal that CPU Utilization of Splunk Universal Forwarder is higher when perfmon monitoring is enabled? I can also see sub-processes on the server that results in high CPU Utilization. Thanks in advance for the answers.
