Deleted a TA on Search Head now Splunk Web will not come back

Good morning.

Info - We are running Splunk 6.2 on a Win 2012 box.

I was cleaning up apps we never use and deleted the Splunk_TA_windows folder. I stopped the splunkd service prior to deleting, and when the service restarted the web interface would not come back.

What I've tried so far:
1. Tried to update from 6.2 to 6.2.1 (failed to update)
2. Tried to repair the installation (failed)
3. Tried to launch the splunkweb service in legacy mode (same result)

I fixed the issue. I uninstalled splunk and reinstalled splunk (restored the appropriate config files/users/apps). All is well now.
