I was planning on developing a splunk demo as part of my internship but have somewhat run into a road block in regards to where to get my data. My internship is centered around cyber security and I would like to create a splunk dashboard and demo based on cyber security risks within a enterprise. Does anyone know where I could find data that I could upload to the Splunk server via linux or Mac OS X so I could create this demo? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
I doubt anyone in the industry is going to just hand over log data to you, why don't you just generate your own logs? point it to your local machine for a few days and you should have the data you will need
