I've saved a few prebuilt panels and after editing the top level panel tag includes an id tag for the panel. I'm doing this so that I can do some custom styling of that panel. Once I add the panel into an existing dashboard the id is missing.
This is the first few lines of my panel:
<panel id="paulpanel">
<chart id="paulchart">
And this is the rendered HTML:
<div class="panel-element-row">
<div id="panel1_paulchart" class="splunk-view dashboard-element chart" style="width: 100%;">...</div>
What I was expecting was this:
<div id="paulpanel" class="panel-element-row">
<div id="panel1_paulchart" class="splunk-view dashboard-element chart" style="width: 100%;">...</div>
What happened to my panel id?
