Is it possible to create submenus in the time range picker Presets menu?

In Presets we have 2 submenus: Relative and Other.
I wanted to create a third menu.
How do I do that?

Alas, no. The submenu functionality in the Splunk Core Search view was removed as of 6.0.

I'm curious about this answer because in my 6.5.2 version, when setting up a range value for a preset I'm offered a checkbox for create submenu. But the submenu does not work. So I'm wondering if it was removed or if it's just broken.
