Draw vertical line(s) on chart

We would like to annotate key events (releases, etc) on graphs with a vertical line so we can visually discern data before and after those events when viewing summary data over a relatively long period of time (30,60,90 days). Is there any way to have Splunk draw the vertical line at a date I provide? Plenty of discussion on horizontal lines, but not vertical lines.

Our graphing doesn't have support for special informative lines, so you have to fit your decoration into the data itself.

The best you could get would be a highly slanty line of adjacent min and max values.
