Meet Dibyanshu Singh, a System Integration Senior Specialist at NTT Data Global with a Bachelor of Technology with a specialization in Computer Science, earned in 2016.
Dibyanshu’s Splunk Story Begins
Dibyanshu Singh’s story with Splunk began in 2017 when he realized he needed to get Splunk Level 3 i.e., admin certified by mid-2019 in order to take advantage of an opportunity to work with the Splunk HCL COE team. After three months of self-paced learning in Splunk and then with Certification Program targeted learning for a year, he was able to deep-dive as a Splunk professional for clients. However, to get certified in time to accept a position for one of these major clients, he’d have to move away from his family to a new city, which he decided to take as a challenge after living together for 25 years in New Delhi, India to Pune, Maharashtra India more than 1000 miles away.
During that time, Dibyanshu cultivated expertise with Splunk and leveraged that expertise to achieve great personal and career success. Just check out some of his Big Wins below!...
How the Community Helped
In 2019, Dibyanshu discovered the Splunk Community as a helpful resource to truly aid in the advancement of his career. A Splunk veteran from Qualcomm who was impressed with his knowledge of Splunk introduced him to the Splunk Hyderabad local User Group, which is when his relationship with the Splunk Community began and has also expanded to membership of User Groups in Pune (India), Boston, and Edinburgh.

Big Wins!
Dibyanshu started out knowing nothing about Splunk and became an expert in less than two years! Some of the successes Dibyanshu has achieved include:
- @ NTT DATA: Supported the client (confidential) bringing a centralized broader observability platform which not just reduced the multi-tool complex log management and correlation issues but also reduced overall cost.
- @ IDFC FIRST BANK: Game-changing experience where Splunk bought SIEM and Telemetry all again with better insights and an absolute reduction in the noise in the first three months of time by removing reduced audit response time and much more.
- @ HCL TECHNOLOGIES LTD: Major clients were again struggling with old traditional monitoring tools for infrastructure monitoring and user behavior analysis which got sorted by bringing in Splunk. We also achieved winning a couple of bids introducing Splunk as a solution.
Looking Ahead…
Like many of you, Dibyanshu has some gorgeous ambitions and, as we’ve seen, quite the drive to take him there! One goal he’s considering is joining the team at Splunk, to see what more he might achieve as an employee. And with the Splunk platform itself, he’s eager to explore more in the area of building Apps and Add-ons on Splunk, to further extend their features and capabilities. Here’s what Dibyanshu has to say about his personal interests:
“I have a strong interest to serve my nation by joining the Indian Armed forces, and I have been invited so far by all the defense units - Indian Navy (2015), Indian Army (2016), and Indian Air force (2016). I love motivating people in the areas of science and technology, and I have participated in building a better tomorrow by bringing in Idea - Green Solution, and in teaching. I also love junk foods :), and yes, I love to see Splunk achievement goodies on my desk :)”
