Hello hello, Splunk Community!
It is our immense pleasure to introduce you to your shiny new Community homepage!
As you may have already seen, the homepage has been updated and redesigned to better reflect the variety of community programs and platforms available and help both new and seasoned Splunk practitioners more easily find content relevant to them.
Hello, new homepage!
Here’s the before & after:
With so many different facets to the Splunk Community (Answers! SplunkTrust! Blogs! User Groups! Practitioner Resources! Slack!), we knew we wanted to refresh the Community homepage to help folks find what they’re looking for faster,
easily check out upcoming User Group events,
find out who our most active and engaged users are,
easily find additional resources and places to connect within the Community,
and get updates and announcements straight from us here at Splunk.
For those of you who frequently utilized the main Community Activity feed on the homepage to access the latest questions asked on Splunk Answers, you’ll note that the main homepage now features a smaller selection of recent posts. Simply click the “Go to Community Activity” link, however, and you’ll be whisked away to the full latest activity feed with filtering options.
Pro tip: Bookmark this page to access the full latest activity feed directly with one less click!
But wait, there’s more!
In addition to the overall homepage changes, we’ve also added new sidebar content to the product boards on Splunk Answers — specially curated to help you be more successful with the Splunk product of your interest.
Now, when you navigate to, for example, the Splunk Cloud Platform discussion board, you’ll be served with tailored content that covers adoption, latest technology, education, and events pertaining to, well, Splunk Cloud Platform!
We know that embracing change requires patience and adaptation, and we continue to be so incredibly appreciative of your community contributions — as well as your support as we implement these experience-improving changes. As your Community Team, our primary goal here at Splunk is to provide you with as helpful, friendly, and smooth a community experience as possible. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, and we hope you enjoy the new site changes!
Cheers!
Gretchen Fox & the Splunk Community Team
