What is the the best way to integrate Splunk with R?

I did find a few answers related to this. But the app created for this integration does not work anymore.

Could someone please throw some light on this?

But I reiterate skoelpin's question, what is your use case with R? Is there something that can be addressed using the MLTK, which is Splunk supported?

The architecture I had referred to earlier has a DB server within which the workflows are written in R.

We are looking to integrate the DB and R within it to Splunk and trying to understand what is the best way.
