We will support Cassandra in our next releases of Hunk (Splunk on top of Hadoop) by the end of this year. Then you can point Hunk to Cassandra for your need.

If you export data out of Cassandra somehow and get Splunk to ingest that data, sure. But, Splunk cannot itself read anything out of Cassandra in the way that you seem to want.

My question may not be clear.i am trying to understand if i log application data to cassandra can i use splunk as report generator by providing cassandra as data link?

No it's not. Splunk has created the index concept of it's own back end DB.
