HDP 2.2 will be certified as supported in the next Hunk release. Most of the functionality should already be working though. Are you seeing any particular issue while using Hunk with hdp2.2?
Currently we are going to set up test systems (mainly Hadoop Sandbox and Hunk like suggested in the Splunk blog article). By now we are not seeing any issues, but as you mentioned we test HDP 2.2 also.
So my first question is not answered.
When will new Hunk Version be released?
I don't have the specific dates for the GA, but approximately before the end of the calendar year.
that's awesome
thank you
@wingmanwingman which version of Hunk are you referring to? We don't publicise future release dates due to various reasons, but if your concern is about Hunk supporting HDP 2.2 - we do try to keep up with the cadence of the Hadoop vendors to add their newly released versions to the list of supported versions - in the vast majority of cases it's a matter of us running the full test suite on the latest public Hunk version against new Hadoop versions.
Thanks a lot for your responses. Now I can see that Hunk Releases will be present by nearly once a year (Majors) and the last Release is about a few month ago. So I can imagine when the next major candidate should arrive. I'm looking forward for HDP 2.2 support.
