Installation

How do I know if my Splunk uninstall was successful on CentOS?

I am asking this because i did the uninstall using the following commands on centos

Run the following command to find the correct package name.
rpm -q -a | grep -i splunk

Pass the result to the rpm -e command
"rpm -e splunk-6.2.2-255606"

but after the uninstall, I still see the /opt/splunk/ directory on my system.

thanks please help

If a subsequent rpm -q -a command does not show Splunk, then it is uninstalled. You can then clean up the Splunk directory using rm -rf /opt/splunk. If your Splunk DB is not under /opt/splunk then you will have to delete it with a separate command.
