I have received multiple errors while trying to install the Carbon Black agent on two indexers.

The first error is this:

error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm

Please let me know the mitigation of the errors above.

Thank you!

Hi sssg,

I don't see how this a Splunk related question?

The error message clearly states that you don't have permission to open rpm package database at /var/lib/rpm

Make sure you have the proper permissions and maybe ask this question again on stackoverflow or superuser.

cheers, MuS
