Is there a way to find out which one of the current running threads are consuming 100% CPU. With top -H I can see the thread which consumes 100% CPU. It would be very helpfull to see what Transaction this Thread is running in Appdynamics.

 Thanks

Hi Johannes,

Let us know if you are looking a feature as stated in docs: http://docs.appdynamics.com/display/ADPRO/Monitor+Java+Thread+Contention

Currently we can monitor CPU at thread/method level as mentioned in above docs using app server agent and we can use machine agent to monitor CPU but this provided the h/w metrics at machine level as opposed to business transaction level.

Can you please eloborate with an example if there is any disconnect and if the provided doc does not help?

Thanks,

Arun

Hi Arun,
thanks alot for your answer. Thats indeed the feature I was looking for.
But I cannot find the the property in the docs of the 3.7 release anymore. http://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO13S/AppDynamics+Pro+Documentation
Has this changed?

Hi Johannes,

We will get back to you on missing 3.7 version specific doc link, But we confirm that the suggested node property in earlier provided docs works fine on 3.7 controller version. Please go ahead and try the node property in 3.7 controller and it should work fine.

Thanks,

Arun
