Servers on which Appdynamics Lite for .NET is installed- are holding IIS sessions.

We have monitors that show us how many IIS sessions are in use on our web servers (2003 - IIS 6). On machines where i have installed AD Lite- they occasionally start holding sessions - even when the viewer is not actively running. I have had to uninstall it because it is forcing us to have to reset IIS so frequently.

Now- I love this product and we'd consider upgrading to pro- but this is a definite showstopper.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi owen,

My understand from the attached screenshot is that you have web servers on the left side of the graph and in the bottom it is showing the user requests count(Sessions Count). Please correct me if i was wrong.

Can you elobrate more on this "AD Lite- they occasionally start holding sessions"?

If i understand correctly,

1) The IIS is not able to serve the user requests(Sessions). Can you please let us know are you facing IIS hang issue? Or slow response time issue on IIS ?
2) Are you seeing any messages related to IIS in windows event logs? Can you send us the event logs for our review?
3) Also send us the logs by default located in lite installation folder. To know the exact path for logs please run the "Appdynamics Lite for .Net configuration" wizard. In the second screen can see the path. Attaching the screenshot for reference.

Please let us know if there is any disconnect.

Regards,

Vishwanath K
