SaaS Lite database license limit - no databases configured

I'm using the SaaS lite version [the account information is removed to protect privacy] and I'm trying to add my first (and only allowed) database. I've got the database agent up and running, but I'm not able to configure a database to be monitored as it claims the license limit has been reached:

However, where I check the license page it shows no databases configured:

Can you help me track down what might be consuming this license?

Side note: I move the DB agent from one host to another, but the UI still shows the old DB agent up and "ACTIVE". How do I get rid of that in the database agent's list?

Hi Robert,

Please refer following documentation for license usage per collector + per database and let us know if you have any question.

https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO42/License+Entitlements+and+Restrictions (refer section Database Monitoring).

Thanks,

I've reviewed the documentation and it seem to indicate that I should be able to add a single collector for a single database server.

However, as the previous screenshots show, I'm not able to add even a single one. Is the SaaS Lite version not intended to allow any database monitoring?

Hi Robert,

You will get one unit for Database Monitoring in case of Lite.

Could you please confirm which type of database you are trying to monitor.

For Oracle,IBM DB2  if one instance exceeds 8 CPU/Cores it will take more than one license(i.e; 32 cores= 4 units). So even if you are creating one instance of the database but it may take more than one license.

For MongoDB,if it has replica set or cluster then it will take more licenses.

So, we need to check the number of cpu/cores one database instance is taking. Could you please share the screeshot of the same.

Thanks,

Atyuha Pal

I've tried both SQL Server and MySQL, both running on single core systems, just to see what the database itegration looked like. I'm not even able to create a single collector in the UI so I really don'ty have any other screen shots I can show you.
