Hello,

A client of mine have messed up his controller, and now he has two apps containing the same tier,

and now we see the app servers on both apps.

How could I delete the additional Application from the controller?

How could I remove a tier from the controller?

Thank you,

Nir

Hi Nir,

Thanks for writing in. Please be sure you have uninstalled agents from the server (with agent) configured and pointing to application and tier in UI that you want to delete as per docs: http://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO13S/Uninstall+the+App+Agent+for+Java

Once you have removed agents points to  app and tier in UI that you want to remove, then you can delete the application and tier from controller UI by selecting Actions -> delete option under the corresponding component as referred in attached screenshots.

Please be sure deleting app/tier will delete the data from controller UI, Hope that information helps.

Thanks,

Arun

Thank you,

In case it's a .NET agent is it the same?  (Except of the uninstall which is simpler)

Thanks, Nir

Hi Nir,

Thanks for the update. Yes, once you uninstalled .Net agent as per docs http://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO13S/Uninstall+the+App+Agent+for+.NET , then you can delete application and tier as we suggested above.

Let us know if that clarifies your query.

Thanks,

Arun
