Hello,
I've created some custom shell scripts that will create custom events via the REST API. I want to roll these out to my boxes but currently have to script in the credentials to my account. I don't want my password visible to anyone who has access to the box as I have elevated priviledges.
I am tring to create an account that would be used simply for creating these custom events and would have no other priviledges. I could not find a way to achieve this through the roles tab in Administrator.
Does this exist and I just missed it?
I'm running controller v4.0.1 on premise.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike,
Can you please assing read only and account owner permissions roles to particular user and see how it goes in test environment, we do not locate any specific docs on the role that is associated with create rest api events but given that it is rest api it would need account level permissions we believe, check if that clarifies.
Thank you for the reply akumar. Unfortunately our on premise Controller has been down the last few days due to a disk error that is supposed to be resolved late today or tomorrow so I will hopefully be able to test and report back by the end of the week.
