just trying to install lite (premises version) on a redhat box and the install script fails with:
Please make sure that all MySQL instances are turned off
huh? why? does it seriously need to interfere with other mysql on the box?
Hi,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused here we see you are hitting a known bug which our concerned team is already trying to fix in future version, for now you might need to stop other mysql process during installation.
We actually recommend to maintain a different machine for controller to avoid such issues as currently we validate for existing of any mysql process hope that answers your query.
Also please be sure that this is random issue and is not replicable on all environments, you can see in below referred screenshot that controller installation succeeded with other mysql process running as well.
Regards,
Arun
