A new report from Cisco reveals the rise of The Application Generation — a group of savvy, demanding users with high expectations for digital experiences.
The global study, based on responses from over 15,000 consumers, shows that 62% of users have higher digital experience expectations than they did two years ago, but brands are struggling to keep up.
A significant 88% of respondents reported performance issues with applications in the past 12 months. As a result, consumers are becoming less forgiving and more selective, with 77% deleting applications due to performance issues.
The report also highlights the critical need for brands to invest in their application experience or risk losing customers. This is particularly true for 'The Application Generation', 18-34-year-olds who have grown up relying heavily on applications and are more discerning about their digital experiences.
