Metrics Browser: time intervals do not correspond with timestamps on data points

Hi,

I noticed that the time intervals on metrics browser view don't really match the datapoints plotted around that. Is this normal since viewing charts on larger time ranges causes the metrics browser's plotting to shift by the resulting smaller precision and the intervals on the bottom stay constant?

Hi Aisha,

This is expected behavior, please find the explanation below:
In the screenshot provided X axis shows month/year value and when user hovers over particular point it shows the month/day/year in detail of particular point, this happens when user selected last 3 months or 6 months or year time trend

The reason for the design if X axis starts showing last 1 year then it has to show X axis time stamp as follows:
1/1/2013, 1/2/2013, ...,6/6/2013, which results in hundreds of X axis values in ranges than the screen may not fit properly and we show the details of exact time of data point when user hovers over a metric data point in metric browser UI.

Let us know if that clarifies your query.

Thanks,

Arun
