Hi,

The controller application will get started automatically after the installation. To verify the controller status,  open a browser to the URL that you configured for the Controller http://<application_server_host_name>:<http-listener-port>/controller

If the controller is not started, please follow below steps to start the controller. The scripts to start and stop the Controller are located in the <Controller_Installation_Directory>/bin directory

1) Open the command prompt and navigate to the <controller installation directory>/bin

2) Run the "startController.bat"

To access the .NET Agent Configuration Utility
1. In the Windows menu, click AppDynamics -> .NET Agent -> AppDynamics Agent Configuration.

Thanks,

Venu.

Hi,

We are not able view the image in your previous post. However, please see below details if you are talking about "Controller Configuration" settings on .Net Agent configuration wizard.

Server(Name/IP):

The Controller host attribute indicates the host name or the IP address of the AppDynamics Controller. For an on-premise Controller, use the value for Application Server Host Name you provided when you installed the Controller. If you use the AppDynamics SaaS Controller, see the Welcome email from AppDynamics.

Port Number:
The Controller port attribute specifies the HTTP(S) port of the AppDynamics Controller. If the Controller ssl attribute is set to true, specify the HTTPS port of the Controller; otherwise specify the HTTP port.

1) For On-premise installations, the defaults are port 8090 for HTTP and port 8181 for HTTPS.
2) For the SaaS Controller, use port 80 for HTTP or port 443 for HTTPS.

Enable SSL:

To enable encryption over SSL between the agent and the Controller, set the Controller ssl attribute to "true".

Use Proxy:

To enable Controller access through a proxy server, set the proxy enabled attribute to "true".

Proxy address:

The proxy host attribute indicates the proxy server host name or IP address.

Proxy port:
The proxy port attribute indicates the proxy server port.

Thanks,

Venu.
