Jboss 4.2.2 with Jboss MQ

Hello,

How do you configure AppDynamics to work with Jboss 4.2.2 and Jboss MQ? This page shows you how appdynamics discovers the server, the queue, then it shows you a nice flow between the messaging server and the web server ( http://community.appdynamics.com/t5/AppCyclopedia-Community/JBossMQ-Messaging-Server/idi-p/6569 ) .

I installed the java agent in my jboss 4.2.2 instance but there is no messaging server. I also tried to configure it manually by going to the Remote Services but jboss mq is not on the list... only active mq.

Am I doing something wrong or is that version of jboss mq too old?

Thanks

Hi,

Can you provide the following details:

- is the API making calls to JBoss MQ is monitored as BT part of tier associated in contorller UI , where the agent on jboss is part of the tier with BT detected ?

- Can you check whether MQ version is in list of supported versions as  per doc link https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO39/Supported+Environments+and+Versions+for+Java

If yes, please send the agent logs from agent node under jboss422 tier and also provide the class and method details that is expected to make MQ exit calls in addition to Business transaction details to debug further, refer screenshot below to collect agent logs
