Do anyone implement appdynamics agent for OC4J (Oracle Application Server) and how do you configured the same?

Does app agent can be configured for SSO/OID component of the Oracle Application server?

Hi Kaushik,

Please find the steps to configure OC4J Oracle Application server:

- You need to add the -javaagent JVM argument as java startup option in the startup config file appropriately.
- Mostly it should be in opmn.xml where all configurations are specified.

For example:

========================================
<module-data>
<category id="start-parameters">
.....
<data id="java-options" value="<other options> -javaagent:/<path to agent installation directory>/javaagent.jar"/>
.....
</category>

=================

Other setup instructions remains same, which you can follow up from here:

http://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO13S/Install+the+App+Agent+for+Java

regarding other query, we currently do not officially support SSO/OID component of the Oracle Application server, However you can go ahead and try configuring app server agent if they are J2EE containers, if no OOTB BT discovers you can go ahead and define custom POJO rules.

Let us know if that clarifies your queries.

Thanks,

Arun
