I have a Tomcat with an AppAgent running inside container, and MachineAgent running on the host. The MachineAgent is not reporting any metrics to Controller. And there are no errors in logs. The MachineAgent is visible in Tiers and Nodes and is associated with Application. But there are no metrics.
When AppAgent and MachineAgent are on the same non-dockerized host, everything is fine. But with AppAgent being inside the Docker it doesn't work.
What is the status of Docker support by AppDynamics?
I would still like to know what is the state of the Docker support by AppDynamics. Besides the 3 years old articles that you linked above I can't find any up to date information.
Hi there,
I checked with our support team. Docker support is on our roadmap, but I cannot comment on the targeted release.
That said, if I hear back from our docs team on any updates to the documentation, I'll get back to you.
Thanks,
Cody
I've reached out to our support team to see if they can provide insight into your question -- stay tuned.
As it concerns the documentation, I've forwarded your comment to our docs team to take a look at the currency of the information.
Thanks,
Cody
I've seen these links. The suggetsed "Docker Monitoring Extension" doesn't associate my dockerized applications with host. They don't solve the problem.
BTW, in the link I provided one of our employees suggested how to fix that (reply is all the way down at the bottom).
Hi there,
I found another community conversation here where the person had the same issue, let me know if this helps:
