Hi there,

I am new to appdynamics 🙂

When I start dbagent, I can't see the db agent in the list of agents under Appdynamics Agent/Machine Agents tab, only the machine agent

Any idea?

Hi Samer,

If you have troubel associating db agent to controller ui under Database Monitoring screen, we request you to provide <dbagent_install_dir>/logs archive to assist you further and to better answer your query we need to go through the logs once

We understood that db mon is not reporting for db agent started at seciton referred in screen shot below, keep us posted the logs requested.

Hi Sobhana,

We see below error in your db agent.log, Can you please use same DBagent install version as per UI version and see how it goes with restart from new dbagent install directory? SAAS UI version is 4.1.4.3, can you please below db agent version

Hi Arun,

I think that the db agent is working fine but it is not showing in the page of appdynamics agents (shown below with all agents turned off except the db-agent)

While the database monitoring is showing that the db-agent is working fine

Hi,

We confirm as long as db agent is reporting and registered successfully as per db agent logs and db mon section, we can just ignore the missing agent entry in ui as this is expected behavior across different systems we see, Hope it is clear
