BMC ITSM Remedy - C/C++

From my understanding the main server of BMC Remedy is written in C. I know there was some caution when taking on a BMC Remedy project because of the lack of visibility into the application.

Will the introduction of the C/C++ application agent allow us to get more visibility into the main server of the BMC Remedy architecture?

Does this make AppDynamics a more viable solution for the monitoring of BMC Remedy?

Any information/insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

With the C/C++ Dynamic Agent we should be able to get some visibility into BMC Remedy. Dynamic agent can monitor third party applications where customers might not have access to the source code. Having said that, we have not tried to instrument BMC Remedy till now. If you have access to a test environment, I'll be happy to jump on a meeting with you and try it out.

If you have any more questions or need more information, please feel free to reach me directly at amod.gupta AT appdynamics.com

Thanks
