We are installing the tool AppDynamics for monitoring an application PHP.

However, we had a problem, because we aren’t getting it configure the proxy.

We follow the documentation contained in the website.

We started the script runme.sh in our default directoy of installation.

The installation worked and was active in Apache 2.2 that we use on a Linux server, but we had a problem in Java 1.6 that is described below:

Could not resolve agent-controller basic configuration”

On the link http://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO13S/Resolving+Configuration+Issues+App+Agent+for+Java , we found a answer, but in this excerpt from the link “This is usually caused because of incorrect configuration in the Controller-info.xml file.

Ensure that the information for agent communication (Controller host and port) and agent identification (application, tier and node names) is correctly configured.
Alternatively, you can also use the system properties (-D options) or environment variables to configure these settings.
”, we couldn’t understand what can we do.

Our configuration for file controller-info.xml on directory of proxy “/home/appdynamics/appdynamics-php-agent/proxy/conf” is:

  • controller-host à quixxerits.saas.appdynamics.com
  • controller-port à 8090
  • controller-ssl-enabled à false
  • application-name àExpresso
  • tier-name àweb
  • node-name à xp-webserver-ypvsvv7aynen
  • agent-runtime-dir àNULL (How this information is optional, we didn’t configure it)
  • enable-orchestration àfalse
  • account-name à QuixxerITS
  • account-access-key à hqfaqpzv3l7e
  • force-agent-registration àtrue

Have anybody idea about the problem that we having? Would anybody help us?

Best regard’s.
