AppDynamics on Solaris makes stand alone java processes to stop responding

Hi all,

We have a couple of JVMs running in a Solaris enviroment with AppDynamics agents attached to them. All JVMs are started with configurations pointing to the same app agent binaries. At first it is all fine and the agents are reporting in the controller but after time on a random basis some of the JVMs hang and both the agent and the java process are not responding. I cannot find any execptions in the log files so I hope you can help me find out what is going on with the appdynamics and how it is even possible for a agent to crash the jvm under monitoring.

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

We understood that this issue you are facing for monitoring jvm associated to controller installed using self service account.

We do not expect such behavior frm agent, Can you please help us provide thread dumps during the problem period and also collect agent logs archvie for intial review, refer doc link to collect agent logs from UI https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO40/Start+an+Agent+Logging+Session
