Agents and licensing

In the controller UI's AppDynamics Agents listing, can I see the breakdown of agents by type (Java, .NET, Node.IS)?  Also if I exceed the license, does this get reflected in subsequent billing, or is every agent after the limit ignored?

Hi,

As of now there is no filter as such that filters agents configured by type but you could differentiate the agent version syntax difference from .net and java agents from screen /controller/#/location=SETTINGS_AGENTS and as you might aware of license by agent type can be seen under screen http://<controllerhost>:<port>/controller/#/location=SETTINGS_LICENSE .

Every agent after the license limit reached will be ignored Or will fail to report performance metrics and you will see appdynamics notifications popup in controller UI.

Hope that answers your query.

Regards,

Arun

Hi,

You can use disable agent feature from contorller UI on selected agent nodes this will let agent to stop agent from reporting, at this point this is best option we could try, refer below screenshot
