splunk-aws app cannot connect to aws due to aws ssl settings.

When attempting to connect to AWS from within the AWS app I am receiving

'SSL validation failed for https://sts.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/ [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: unable to get local certificate (_ssl.c:1106)'

I received a cert.pem file from AWS, but I don't know where to put this file in splunk.

splunk version is 8.2.8
Splunk Add-on for Amazon Web Services (AWS) version is 7.0.0

guide me where to apply the cert.pem file?

Thank you.
