Hi @Lynda_Sadi1275

for you to receive alerts from splunk installed on your localhost

you need to configure this page with proper server settings.

go to settings - server settings - email settings

in the mail host options give the servername which can send mail to you.

Thanks

Hello,
indeed I am new with Splunk,
I have Splunk installed on my PC, then I create alerts and I want for example that he sends me an email to my mailbox: dl_sadi@esi.dz. How can I configure Splunk in this case. Knowing that I do not have a mail server
so in this case who what should I put in the host e-mail?.

Thank you.

There's a complete Alerting manual. Have you already read through that to see if it answers your questions?
