hadoop connector

i have a running hadoop cluster and also i have splunk in other instance(different machine) ,want to configure hadoop in splunk. i used hadoop connector but as i am running splunk in different instance unable to communicate to hadoop, is there any way to make this happen???

Splunk Hadoop Connect allows you to connect your Splunk instance to one or more Hadoop clusters. In this configuration, Splunk is setup as a client to your Hadoop environment.

As Hadoop is distribution and version sensitive, the app requires that you install the Hadoop CLI utilities independent of the app, and provide the path to these utilities within the configuration itself.

You need Hadoop Command utility to make Hadoop connector work. Did you install it? Following manual could be helpful.
