Why is Splunk 7.X NOT supporting Hunk app for MangoDB application?

we installed the Hunk app for MangoDB on DEV environment when were in 6.5.2 version, after upgrading to 7.0.2 version, app still working on DEV. However, when we install it on 7.0.2 on Prod environment it's not supporting.

Found the solution, Hunk app for mangoDB working on v7 after changing the conf file under "/opt/splunk/etc/apps/MongoDBApp/default/indexes.conf file with folowing changes.
vix.command.arg.3 = $SPLUNK_HOME/bin/jars/SplunkMR-h1.jar:$SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/ MongoDBApp/bin/hunk_mongodb_app.jar:$SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/MongoDBApp/bin/lib/*

As you can see here, https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1810/ this app is not supported for versions over 6.1

we instilled the app when we were on 6.5.2 and also after upgrading to 7.2 this app is working fine BUT concern is app not supporting on upgraded version(7.2)
