Why fields from Splunk for Palo Alto Networks app with global permissions are not showing in the default Search and Reporting app?

I can search from the app just fine... I have permissions set to global, but I only get a limited number of Field Extractions when do a default search from the Search and reporting app.. I would like to be able to search this app from the default search bar...

The answer is below, just change the default.meta file as specified and it works again.
