Why am I getting "Error while posting to url=/servicesNS/nobody/GoogleAppsForSplunk/saved/eventtypes/googleapps" trying to set up Google Apps for Splunk?

Hi all,

Has anyone successfully deployed the Google Apps for Splunk?

I installed the app and then restarted Splunk. While trying to set up the app, I got an error message saying

Encountered the following error while trying to update: In handler 'localapps': Error while posting to url=/servicesNS/nobody/GoogleAppsForSplunk/saved/eventtypes/googleapps

Please view screenshot.

Could any one please advise?

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Vincent

This is a kludge solution but try adding the following to the [install] stanza of the app's app.conf file:

is_configured = 1
